Remembrance Day

"At the going down of the sun and in the morning,We will remember them."

This year we marked Armistice day in several ways:
  • The children decorated the windows of the school with poppies as part of the Royal British Legion's 'Every Poppy Counts' campaign;
  • The children created a poppy to take home and display in their window;
  • To support and raise money, Year 6 children sold poppys on behalf of the Royal British Legion;
  • The children painted a poppy on a pebble which were placed around the community with the message "Heamoor School Remembers";
  • On 11th Nov at 11am we joined the country in a 2 minute silence followed by the last post played by our Music Teacher, Mr Hinchliffe.
